The Commons Group was founded in 1998 by Mark Surman and Tonya Surman. It was active until 2007. During that time, the Group grew into a leading source of advice and insight on networks, technology and social change.
Mark and Tonya also used the Group as a platform to promote the concept of social enterprise within the community technology sector globally.
Tonya went on to launch a series of innovations, from one of the first coworking spaces, the Centre for Social Innovation, to the Community Bond concept. More about Tonya »
